Officials say ridership is surging and revenues aren't far behind. As Jeremy Hunka reports, increased numbers are expected to continue this year--and they could pave the way for new routes outside city limits. |

Medicine Hat's new event centre could be run by a private company. The city's event centre committee recommended last night that the new building be run by a private operator. Scott Cunningham has more on a recommendation that could take control of Medicine Hats top arena out of the city's hands. |

Medicine Hat health officials say the doctor shortage in Brooks is now hitting our hospital.
A lack of doctors specializing in obstetrics, means hundreds of Brooks women must travel outside their hometown to deliver their children. And as Jeremy Hunka reports -- the mayor of Brooks is predicting that will mean problems as Medicine Hat's hospital is ill-equipped to handle the surge in pregnant women. |
Crack Bust

Crack cocaine trafficking between Brooks and Medicine Hat has now hit a major road block. 14 individuals from Brooks are now facing a bevy of drug related charges following a six week investigation into drug movement. As Scott Cunningham tells us -- law enforcement officials from both cities are basing their success on new provincial programs, which they say give them the freedom to mimic the actions of the criminals they are trying to catch. |
