Transit Update July 17, 2009	Taking the bus? Turns out that is something Hatters are doing more and more of. New staff, new busses and bigger numbers are hitting our transit this year. Officials say ridership is surging and revenues aren't far behind. As Jeremy Hunka reports, increased numbers are expected to continue this year--and they could pave the way for new routes outside city limits.
Arena Plans July 16, 2009	Medicine Hat's new event centre could be run by a private company. The city's event centre committee recommended last night that the new building be run by a private operator. Scott Cunningham has more on a recommendation that could take control of Medicine Hats top arena out of the city's hands.
Brooks Maternity July 15, 2009	Medicine Hat health officials say the doctor shortage in Brooks is now hitting our hospital. A lack of doctors specializing in obstetrics, means hundreds of Brooks women must travel outside their hometown to deliver their children. And as Jeremy Hunka reports -- the mayor of Brooks is predicting that will mean problems as Medicine Hat's hospital is ill-equipped to handle the surge in pregnant women.
Crack Bust July 15, 2009	Crack cocaine trafficking between Brooks and Medicine Hat has now hit a major road block. 14 individuals from Brooks are now facing a bevy of drug related charges following a six week investigation into drug movement. As Scott Cunningham tells us -- law enforcement officials from both cities are basing their success on new provincial programs, which they say give them the freedom to mimic the actions of the criminals they are trying to catch.
West Nile 09 July 14, 2009	It will soon be the season for Culex Tarsalis, the one breed of mosquito that carries the West Nile virus. Recently, the Alberta government abandoned a 6-year research project on West Nile, because an extremely low amount of mosquitos were found to actually be carrying the virus. As reporter Scott Cunningham tells us -- there's no clear evidence on what this year will bring.
Stampede Preview July 13, 2009	The Medicine Hat Stampede and Exhibition is one week away and organizers were proud to announce this morning what's in store for the upcoming event. Matt Nodge has more on the 2009 edition of the big show.
Show N Shine July 13, 2009	Take some old cars -- place them in a vintage setting -- and you have the recipe for the annual Show and Shine and Old Tyme fair at the Stampede Grounds in Medicine Hat. Pioneer Village was packed with both cars and people for the third annual event. Videographer Simon Stones was among those who spent some time in the sunshine on Saturday and compiled this video essay.
