Post Secondary

It's a momentus day for hundreds of students at Medicine Hat College this weekend. Over 500 will graduate.
But new statistics indicate a familiar trend in our area, -- a greater proportion of Medicine Hat residents do not have post-secondary education than other places in Alberta. Jeremy Hunka discovers how the College plans to change those numbers

The city has been working to make our streets as walkable as possible. But according to some local business owners loitering has become a big problem. As Jeremy Hunka reports some say drugs and prostitution are taking a big bite out of business.

Isotopes Shortage

Medicine Hat health officials are pleading for help as the supply of medical isotopes continues to dwindle.  The Chalk River Nuclear plant in Ontario shut down in May causing a massive shortage in Canada and around the world. The radioactive material makes medical imaging for heart and cancer patients possible. As Scott Cunningham discovered, while the shortage is causing concern --  its also illuminating a picture rarely seen by the public.
