Sola Power Leisure Centre

They may look like something from Hollywood, but two rotating solar panels are now up and slowly swinging at Medicine Hat's Leisure Centre.  Though they're not yet plugged into the city power grid they are just now operational.  Although the city has experimented with solar energy in the past, these panels are unlike anything our city has seen before.  Jeremy Hunka reports.

Farm Drought

It's one of the factors that farmer's cannot control -- Mother Nature.  So far this year, dry weather has been plaguing the industry as it ravages crops across Alberta and Saskatchewan.  Forecast Rain refused to fall on many local farms this week -- pressuring many to declare field conditions --- a full-fledged drought.  Jeremy Hunka reports.

Failing History

It's been splashed across newspapers and transmitted via radio all over the country.  Alberta Education being given a failing grade for it's teaching of Canadian History.  On top of the poor mark -- is a recommendation to change the high school curriculum. But as Jeremy Hunka reports, local educators are sticking to the status quo.
