Bennett Speaks July 3, 2009	A high ranking federal MP fired some intense criticism at Alberta Health Services today. The Former Minister of State for Public Health was in Medicine Hat to speak about nutrition and health. However Carolyn Bennett didn't hold back when asked about the state of Alberta Health Care. As Jeremy Hunka reports, she says the recent centralization of provincial health boards will only hurt Albertans.
Gas Market July 2, 2009	Hatters should again be expecting a cheap energy bill this month. At around this point last year, some Albertans were paying over 13 dollars per gigajoule for natural gas. Fast forward to today, when Hatters are paying under 2 dollars a gigajoule. To residents it's refreshing news, but at that price, the city's gas utility is barely breaking even. Jeremy Hunka takes a look at what the downward spiral means to the city bank account, and what officials are doing to keep production profitable.
Economic Numbers June 30, 2009	Since last October our nation has lost over 360 thousand jobs. But today, new numbers were released leaving some room for cautious optimism. Though Canada's economic output continues to contract, recent stats show positive gains may not be far off. Reporter Jeremy Hunka now on these new numbers, and what they could mean for Medicine Hat.
Staycations June 29, 2009	A new poll suggests that when Canadians are planning their holiday for this summer -- the majority will be sticking closer to home. The Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey finds that 61 per cent of those mapping out their vacation -- will stay near their town or city or within the same province. And as reporter Scott Cunningham discovered, the prospect of locals staying in, is leading some to predict a quicker rebound from the recession.
