Medicine Hat MLA and Environment Minister Rob Renner found himself in a sticky situation Thursday morning. Renner's downtown office was vandalized, as it was covered in tar. As Jeremy Hunka reports, most who saw the display, say it's a black mark on city politics.

Thursday afternoon marked the first meeting for the newly configured energy committee -- after the mayor removed all 3 previous council members as part of his reorganization. And it didn't take long for the new committee chair to fire back at some of his fellow alderman -- who questioned the experience level of those now on energy. Reporter Kyle Bakx explains.

What was once a blurry future for Medicine Hat's regional hospital became a little clearer Tuesday. As the province unveiled the new Alberta budget, there was little money set aside for the expansion many have been hoping for. But as Scott Cunningham reports, residents shouldn't expect to see major construction anytime soon. |

There was little money for hospital expansion, no money for school construction - and no announcement of funding for the event centre project. Three reasons why local officials were upset with yesterday afternoon's Alberta budget.
