While residents are revelling in the fact that natural gas rates continue to fall in price -- the city's energy department is struggling under the financial pressure. The energy division isn't necessarily bleeding red ink, but as Kyle Bakx reports, revenues are eroding and they're having a tough time fulfilling their financial goals.

The Chamber of Commerce hosted an open house Thursday to look at what will happen to the Trans Canada highway in our city -- a contentious issue with many business owners in the light industrial area. Over 100 stakeholders came to the chamber-member only event.  Many attending to air their frustrations.  Kyle Bakx reports.

Unmanned Vehicle Training

Some first of its kind training literally took off in Medicine Hat this week. The Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems has teamed up with the Canadian police research centre to train officers on small aerial vehicles. Scott Cunningham got a first hand look at the ground breaking technology and the training the local organization wants first responders across the country to be able to access.

In less than a week --- the Prairie Rose School Division will announce the fate of one of it's schools. Manyberries elementary could shut down as it's enrollment numbers continue to look bleak. But officials say those numbers aren't limited to just Manyberries. As Jeremy Hunka reports even though a number of rural schools are short on students, the district is fighting to keep them open.
