Some parents are anxiously wondering where their children will go to school next year. As part of a massive reconfiguration vote last week, the Catholic Board of Education chose to end a lease agreement with Southern Alberta's Francophone board. The deal not only affects hundreds of Catholic students, but catches one school particularly off guard. As it stands, Medicine Hat's only entirely francophone school--has no building for next September. Jeremy Hunka reports.

A hoax is causing some very real problems for police. One week after the Medicine Hat College was shocked by a bomb threat, city police say they are stalled in their investigation. Thousands of students were forced from their final exams last Wednesday. Vikedal Sentenced

A guilty plea did not save a Medicine Hat man from jail time. 26 year old Kevin Vikedal will spend less than 4 years in prison for an assault on a toddler that has left the child with permanent damage. Scott Cunningham has the latest. |
