Gas Rates March 27, 2009	Six months ago some businesses in Medicine Hat -- were pleading to the city for relief from steep natural gas prices; even threatening that the lofty expenses would force them to close their doors. But since then, natural gas prices have nose-dived, losing the majority of their value. And as reporter Kyle Bakx tells us -- that has helped some local facilities keep their doors open and keep employees on the job.
Porn Sweep March 26, 2009	The largest ever child sex investigation fanned out from coast to coast in Canada this week --- resulting in more than fifty arrests. Project Salvo included law enforcement agencies across the country. Here in Alberta, members of the Integrated Child Exploitation Team or ICE targeted four suspects, one from right here in Medicine Hat. Scott Cunningham reports
Job Postings March 26, 2009	New information suggests some Medicine Hat residents continue to dodge the global recession. While college students nationwide find themselves looking for work in an increasingly lean market, others in Medicine Hat are seeing more job advertising than ever. Jeremy Hunka reports.

Use of Force Training March 25, 2006	So far in 2009 six Medicine Hat police officers have been assaulted in the line of duty, while fifteen have encountered individuals who have resisted arrest. This week police officers in our city are sharpening the skills they call on in dangerous situations. Reporter Scott Cunningham joined a group of officers as they went for their bi-annual certification, and was literally shocked by the intensity of the training.
Auto Sales March 25, 2009	It's been a long string of bad news for the auto industry. Sales drops, bailouts, and tight credit have all left their mark. But as Jeremy Hunka reports, for many local dealerships --- March has been a great month and is leaving them optimistic for the year ahead.
Medicine Hat Detox Centre March 24, 2009	It's been talked about for some time -- whether Medicine Hat needs a detox centre in our community. A committee at city hall wants to explore the issue further. Many groups in Medicine Hat already support the project -- city officials included. But many questions remain including who would run the facility and how great is the need for the service.
Homeless Money March 24, 2009	One million dollars towards ending homelessness in Medicine Hat. That is what officials with the city's "Homeless and Community Housing department" say would be needed for the next two years to keep care at the current level and create programs to end the problem. This month the Alberta government endorsed a ten year plan to end homelessness across our province, and say they will offer support to specific municipalities to help eradicate homelessness before 2019. Reporter Scott Cunningham has more on an issue affecting more locals than you might think.
Grade 3 Exams March 24, 2009	For years, they've been dreaded by students in both elementary and secondary school. Standardized test are used to gather information on provincial education, and compare grades between different schools. But last week a non-binding motion was passed in the Alberta legislature, which could put an end to the first such exams, in grade three. And as Jeremy Hunka found out, the movement isn't only to eliminate those tests, but also standardized tests straight through junior high.
Beer Economy March 24, 2009	A lagging economy in Canada has not squelched Alberta's thirst for Alcohol. New statistics show Albertans bought over two million cases of suds in 2008, and trail only Quebec when it comes to per-capita sales. Numbers are down just under one percentage point from 2007 in our province, yet as reporter Scott Cunningham discovered - those who make their living selling liquor here in Medicine Hat are tipping a glass to sales during the downturn.
