Old Bicycle

Stolen bicycles do not rank among the top priorities for city police in Medicine Hat. Only around 100 bikes were reported stolen in 2008, and so far this year - just ten have apparently gone missing. One missing two wheeler taken over the weekend is not garnering any special attention from police, but is taking the owner and family on a peddle down memory lane. Scott Cunningham has that story.

Furniture giant Leon's celebrated its 100th anniversary in Medicine Hat Thursday morning.  Over that time the company has encountered several recessions.  And like many businesses in Medicine Hat, it's having to weather  this one too.  Reporter Kyle Bakx has more.

The drama production "Starry Starry Night" has performed in front of packed audiences this week, and as Jeremy Hunka reports, the standing ovations were much-deserved.


School Board Strategies

Just last week the Alberta Government sent out a news release announcing 14 new Alberta schools, all  of which will be built in either Calgary or Edmonton.  School Board's in Medicine Hat have been lobbying for years now for new buildings, so Jeremy Hunka looked into the local need, and the strategies school boards are using to win new dollars.

SO MUCH SO, THAT RIDERS FROM ACROSS THE PROVINCE AND U.S. TRAVELLED TO COMPETE HERE LAST WEEKEND.
