New information was released Friday concerning Medicine Hat's first homicide in 3 years. Police have laid charges against a 37 year old man, and have identified the victim as Darcy Owen Baumbach. While the incident has been shocking to residents, when compared to other centres, murders in Medicine Hat are few and far between. But as Jeremy Hunka found, police say they're no less significant.

In April, we introduced you to Medicine Hat's newest police recruit. A rare European sport dog was purchased by the police service, to fill an opening in the K-9 unit this summer. Scott Cunningham caught up with Ducco the German Shepard, and his handler on their six week anniversary.
