Catholic School Crunch

After complaining for months about the need for more classroom space -- today, officials with the Catholic school board brought their concerns to local MLAs.  Certain schools are exceeding 100 per cent capacity.  But still, there was no 100 per cent guarantee of relief from the province.  Kyle Bakx explains.     

Downtown Loans

Cash is available, and it's being gobbled up by some downtown businesses.  Grants of 1000 dollars were recently doubled, along with interest free loans. 
It's called the "City Centre Investment Opportunity Program,"--meant to help make-over the downtown core.  As Jeremy Hunka reports, some are taking full advantage.

Police Station Expansion

The Medicine Hat Police Station is nearly a quarter-century old and the growing service is now in need of more space. Back In March, city council approved spending 17-million dollars on expanding or building a new police station.  Since then, multiple firms have shown interest in conducting a study on which direction the service should follow.   Reporter Kyle Bakx has the story...
