Police Station Expansion
The Medicine Hat Police Station is nearly a quarter-century old and the growing service is now in need of more space. Back In March, city council approved spending 17-million dollars on expanding or building a new police station. Since then, multiple firms have shown interest in conducting a study on which direction the service should follow. Reporter Kyle Bakx has the story...
Remembrance Day

An Ipsos Reid survey found 13 million adult Canadians say they have a direct relative who has served in the Canadian forces. There is no exact number available on the number of people in our city who have military ties, but reporter Scott Cunningham discovered that people of all generations have fought for freedom.
Detox Centre
A new study was presented today outlining the dire need for a detox centre in Medicine Hat. Of the 7 major centres in the province -- Medicine Hat is the only one without a detox centre. Those services were going to be provided as part of the hospital expansion program -- however that has been postponed indefinitely. Thus, the push is now on for a facility designated to help those who are battling addictions get clean. Reporter Kyle Bakx has more.
Stelmach Leadership Review

All eyes in the political world were on Red Deer this weekend -- as the Alberta Tory's voted on whether or not Ed Stelmach should continue to lead the party. In the end, three-quarters of delegates chose to endorse the current premier. But as Kyle Bakx, concerns still linger about whether Steady Eddie is the right choice to lead the province.
