Swine Flu Update

As over fifty million doses of the H1-N1 vaccine fan out across Canada medical officials in southern Alberta say the illness is already widespread across the region. In a normal year experts predict ten percent of the population will come down with influenza. This year estimates come in the 25 to 30 percent range. Health reporter Scott Cunningham spoke to local officials who say while H1-N1 is a new issue - the best way to fight the flu remains same.

But Suffield military scientists are hoping to stop those rising numbers, employing new technology to detect roadside bombs.  As Jeremy Hunka reports, the explosives are simply made, but take complicated science to detect.
