ACCORDING TO AN ALBERTA GOVERNMENT STUDY DONE BETWEEN 2004 AND 2008, 'MORE' PEOPLE ARE SPENDING 'MORE' MONEY EVERY TIME THEY VISIT A FARMERS MARKET. AND NOT ONLY THAT -  THE MAJORITY OF THOSE SURVEYED SAID THEY WOULD CONTINUE BUYING LOCAL. AS INA SIDHU TELLS US IN PART 2 OF OUR 'THINK LOCAL SERIES' IT'S AN OPTIMISTIC SIGN FOR GROWERS AND PRODUCERS SELLING INTO LOCAL MARKET CHANNELS.

Just after a 200 million dollar redevelopment plan was announced for Medicine Hat's regional hospital, the medical centre is showing its age. Health and safety inspectors have discovered a potentially dangerous type of mold growing in the dialysis unit of our hospital. Reporter Scott Cunningham takes a closer look at what the discovery means to the health of a hospital.
