Medican Extension August 12, 2010	Financially unstable construction giant Medican has been given a new lease on life. The Medicine Hat based builder filed for creditor protection in late May -- and as has been fighting to pull their operations from the red ever since. Today, Medican was given a vote of confidence in a Calgary courtroom. But as Reporter Scott Cunningham discovered, the scope of the company's financial woes is much deeper than originally forecasted.

Wealthy Wheat August 12, 2010	It seems farmers across the globe can't catch a break this summer. In our region it was wet weather making it hard to plant crops. In Russia they are experiencing severe drought and record high temperatures. The heat has caused a temporary ban on wheat exports which could last well into next year. But the ban could be beneficial to Albertans. Breanna Karstens-Smith takes a look at how farmers are fairing.
Irvine Flood Meeting August 11, 2010	Frustration boiled over today in the flood ravaged community of Irvine. Around one hundred residents met face to face with the minister of municipal affairs who controls the provinces disaster response program. Hector Goudreau along with Cypress Medicine Hat MLA Len Mitzel braved the hostile crowd just a month after Premier Ed Stelmach apologized to the people of southern Alberta for not moving more quickly in response to June flooding. Something weary residents in Irvine say is still not happening.
Sewage Lift August 10, 2010	The residents of River Ridge have been dealing with a messy and smelly situation over the last several years and now have had enough. They've taken over operation of a troublesome sewage lift station in the development. It stinks, it could be polluting the south saskatchewan river, and it is costing them money. Medican, who built the development - can offer little help since they are in financial distress. So, as reporter Kyle Bakx explains -- the residents are looking to the city for assistance.
Wildrose Candidate August 10, 2010	The Wildrose Alliance has unveiled its first potential candidate to represent the party in Medicine Hat in the next provincial election. That person is business owner and chamber of commerce board member Milvia Bauman. And as Kyle Bakx tells us, she's no stranger to politics in the city...
Species At Risk August 10, 2010	Medicine Hat MP LaVar Payne showed his environmental side today, announcing nearly one million dollars to protect species at risk. In the next year the Habitat stewardship program will dish out more than twelve million across the country ---offering safe haven for animals who cannot protect themselves. Scott Cunningham takes a closer look at what the million dollars headed towards southern Alberta will do for at risk animals near Medicine Hat.
Police Station Cash August 9, 2010	Construction of a new police police station will cost more than double what city officials expected to pay. Alderman approved 17 million dollars for expansion of the current facility. But a study suggests a brand-new facility, with a hefty price tag, is the best option. Reporter Kyle Bakx explains.
Green Incentives August 9, 2010	The province is shedding light on green house gas emissions, and taking action through illumination. A new 4 million dollar pilot project will offer up to 375 thousand dollar to businesses who retro-fit their commercial space with energy efficient lighting. Reporter Scott Cunningham puts the spotlight on local business who could cash in by going green.
