Gas Fields

Three years, and no new gas fields or wells for the Gas City. Today the chair of Medicine Hat's energy committee defended a lack of spending by the gas utilities department. Scott Cunningham takes a closer look at why a city with a "buy low philosophy" is moving slowly even though prices for gas fields and wells have dropped significantly in the post-recession climate.

College Drive

Hatters who use College Drive in their daily commutes have been detouring this week - and will be forced to do so until November. Crews are working to rehabilitate the Connaught Dam beneath the street AND add bike paths. Breanna Karstens-Smith has more on how the changes are affecting residents.

Women's Shelter

A Fort McMurray woman has completed a 21 day fast to raise awareness about the poor condition of her local women's shelter. But her fight isn't over. Another women from that city has started fasting to support the same cause and they say it will continue until there is change. Breanna Karstens-Smith caught up with the woman who started it all as well as our local women's shelter to see what the conditions are like here.
