It took three weeks of testimony and 11 hours of deliberation, but a Calgary jury convicted Jeremy Steinke of first degree murder in the deaths of 3 members of a Medicine Hat family.

Stats Canada has released some new numbers that indicate less Canadians are living and working on farms than ever before. As politicians in Ottawa stepped up their attempts to sway public opinion in a battle of parliamentary control, local residents too are becoming active in the debate.  From coast-to-coast, rallies will be held across the country this weekend, and in our city, no different.  As Kyle Bakx reports Medicine Hat Conservatives are asking anybody and everybody to join them in a pro-government rally on Saturday.
