Christmas Giving

As the economy continues to tighten in Alberta, charities and non profit organizations are feeling the squeeze.  Many agencies rely on the Christmas season for the majority of their funding. Many campaigns still have a few days left before they're over -- but they're on pace to fall short of their goal.  And as reporter Kyle Bakx found out, the organizations on the front lines, helping those in need, are feeling the effects.

City council has wrapped up for the year. The last meeting for 2008 was held this past Monday. All too often, those meetings featured vacant seats. So we've compiled a report card on who was or wasn't at the majority of council meetings this year. And as reporter Kyle Bakx tells us, only one alderman had a flawless attendance record.
